What is Basal Body Temperature?
Basal Body Temperature (BBT) is the lowest temperature attained by the body during rest period or sleep. It is measured immediately after waking up and before any physical activity has been done.
How Does Tracking Basal Body Temperature Help to Conceive?
When women ovulate, there is an increase of one-half to one degree Fahrenheit (or one-quarter to one-half degree Celsius) in BBT. Daily Monitoring of BBT can be used to estimate the day of ovulation.
