Early Pregnancy Test
One Step hCG Early Pregnancy Tests are used for qualitative (visual) determination of hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) in urine specimens for early detection of pregnancy. HCG is a glycoprotein hormone secreted by the developing placenta shortly after becoming pregnant. HCG can be detected in urine and serum of pregnant women as early as 6 to 15 days after conception.
Precautions
- Read instructions carefully before using the test.
- This kit is for external use only. Do not swallow.
- Discard after first use. The test strip cannot be used more than once.
- Do not use test kit beyond expiry date.
- Do not use the kit if the pouch is punctured or not well sealed.
- Keep out of the reach of children.
Specimen Collection and Preparation
When to collect urine for the test ?
Any urine specimen is appropriate for Pregnancy Testing but the first morning urine specimen is optimal because of its highest concentration of HCG.
How Does The Test Work?
- The test strip and urine have to be at room temperature (15-30°C) for testing.
- Remove the test strip from the sealed pouch.
- Immerse the strip into the urine with the arrow pointing towards the urine. Take the strip out after 3 seconds and lay the strip flat on a clean, dry, non-absorbent surface (such as the mouth of the urine container).
- Read results in five minutes. Do not read results after more than 5 minutes.
IMPORTANT: Do not allow the urine level to exceed the MAX (marker line), otherwise the test will not perform correctly.
How Soon Can I Use The Test after I suspect that I am pregnant?
You Can test your as early as the first day you miss of your missed period.
How accurate is the test?

Each test is individually packaged in a sterile, foil pouch with the expiration date clearly displayed and contains a desiccant to protect against moisture. All tests have a shelf life of two years.
When should I use this Pregnancy Test?
You can improve your chances for an accurate pregnancy test result by using your first morning urine for the test. If you are pregnant, it will have more hCG in it than later urines. If you think you are pregnant, but your first test was negative, you can take the test again after several days. Since the amount of hCG increases rapidly when you are pregnant, you may get a positive test on later days.
