Prams and Buggies

Many new parents and parents-to-be are very confused about the differences between prams, buggies, pushchairs, strollers and now travel systems. In reality, many people use the same names to describe any kind of baby carrier on wheels! Sometimes, pushchairs, and in particular strollers, are used to describe lighter, more compact baby carriers, whereas buggies and travel systems could describe the larger types, where the same chassis can support a car seat, rigid pram that a small baby lies flat in, and the standard ‘upright’ seat that is common
to all kinds of baby movers.

A pram usually describes a flat-bottomed baby carrier on wheels that a small baby can lie flat in, for comfortable sleeping, and good back support. The term pram has been used for generations to describe a rigid baby carrier on wheels, but now-a-days prams are much more flexible for easy of transport in car-boots and storage in modern homes.
