Babydan Hearth Gate / Fire Gate
The Babydan Hearth Gate is a stylish and very practical child safety hearth gate to prevent your child getting close to the heat and flames from an open fire or a stove. It is very easy to set up and you can use it in two ways:
- free standing without fixing
- with simple screw fix with easy clip-off wall fittings for ease of removal and storage.
The design of the Babydan Hearth Gate allows you to customise it to suit your own requirements:
- the interlocking 5 sections of the hearth gate adjusts in 10-degree increments; this allows them to be either angled or set in a straight line to suit the shape of the fire or stove you require to be gated-off giving you great flexibility
- the walk-through gate section, included as one of the supplied five panels, can be fitted anywhere in the five panel length
- the gate can be opened in either direction.
The Babydan Hearth Gate has many advantages over other fire gates or hearth gates:
- it is supplied with five 60cm panels, giving you a total of 300cm in length in protection from your fire
- this length above will fit hearths 180cm wide by 60 cm deep
- this hearth gate will also prevent your child getting access to the fireplace itself and its base, which are often made of hard, rough materials with dangerous corners that could be very dangerous if a child fell onto them
- the Babydan Hearth Gate can also be used in summertime around barbeques, to cordon them off from little fingers
- the Hearth Gate can also be used to keep pets away from sources of heat and fire
- included in one of the five panels is a hearth gate, which has a one-handed release handle which is easy for adults to open but difficult for children
- the Babydan Hearth Gate can be folded down completely for ease of storage
- the corners of this hearth gate are rounded for even more protection for your child(ren)
- the height of the Hearth Gate is 76cm
- it is made of strong tubular steel
- the Babydan Fire Gate has a heat-resistant, non-toxic finish

Note: the Babydan hearth gate is not designed to operate as a fire guard, i.e. it will not prevent sparks from shooting from a fire or open stove, or keep fuel from falling out of the fire.
