The Angelcare Sound Monitor is a sound-only baby monitor that has the option of the sound-transmission being either:
- voice activated
- set for continuous transmission.
Features of the Angelcare Sound Monitor:
- Provides optimal sound-quality and minimises interference
- Has the option of:
- Continuous sound monitoring - to hear every sound in your baby’s room
- Voice-activated sound monitoring - hear just when your baby cries
- 4 AAA rechargeable batteries included with the parent unit of the Angelcare sound monitor; the parent unit sits into its charger cradle
- Baby unit uses mains power or 4 AAA standard batteries - these are not included
- The Angelcare sound monitor automatically switches to batteries in the event of a power failure
- 2 frequencies and 8 channels - these minimise interference

- Has a full colour digital display LCD - this shows all the available functions

The Angelcare Movement Monitor provides peace of mind for the parents while your baby sleeps. It is designed to be used in the following circumstances:
- for monitoring your baby’s movement while they sleep
- when baby is either sleeping in your own room, in its cot or Moses basket, or when your baby has moved to its own room
- either when baby is napping during the day or sleeping during the night, when you are asleep as well
- it can be used in conjunction with a sound monitor you may already have - see information on the Angelcare sound monitor above
- with twins or two young babies asleep in the same room - you will need a separate movement monitor for each baby; one sound monitor will be sufficient for one room. So you could have one Angelcare Movement and Sound Monitor with one Angelcare Movement Monitor.
Note: for the Angelcare movement monitor to be effective for twins, they must have their own movement monitor.
How to use the Angelcare Movement Monitor:
- The flat monitor part of the Angelcare movement monitor is placed under your baby’s mattress
- This monitor will detect your baby’s movement, including slight breathing movements, whether your baby is awake or asleep
- An alarm will sound if no movement is detected after 20 seconds
- The Angelcare Movement Monitor can be used from birth.
Features or controls on the Angelcare Movement Monitor:
- There is a ‘tic’ function which provides an audible sound or click to reassure you that the movement monitor is still working even when your baby is sleeping peacefully; this feature can be turned off
- There are three LED indicators or lights on the parent unit; these show:
- The alarm
- Low battery indicator
- ‘Tic’ sound
- The sensitivity of the sensor pad can be adjusted from 0 to 5.
The Angelcare Movement and Sound Monitor gives you the security of knowing that you can hear your baby if they cry, and that the under-mattress monitor is continually checking your baby’s movements, even the lightest ones. This movement and sound monitor is simple to use and has many features or functions:
- Crystal clear transmission and security, from the 8 channels and 2 frequencies

- Sensor pad that is placed under the mattress; this detects the slightest movements of your baby, even very soft and gentle breathing; if no movement has been detected for 20 seconds, an alarm will sound; the sensitivity of this movement monitoring can be adjusted
- The Angelcare Sound and Movement monitor has an audible ‘tic’ feature that reassures you that the movement monitor is working correctly even when your baby is sleeping soundly; this feature can be turned off
- Parent unit:
- is portable and rechargeable - there is a belt clip supplied for the parent unit so you can monitor your baby while moving around the house; when fully charged, the parent unit will last for up to 8 hours
- shows the temperature of the baby’s room - an alarm will sound if the temperature is too high or too low
- has an out of range indicator; the alarm sounds if you lose connectivity
- has volume control making it easy to set the sound levels to suit you
- has vibration alert so that you can monitor your baby’s activities even with the sound off
- has full colour digital display showing all the monitoring features; this means that even if the sound is turned off, you can see any activity in your baby’s room on the parent unit
- has a hold and mute button which temporarily deactivates both the sound and movement parts of the Angelcare monitor; this is useful if you need to change or feed your baby.
- Baby unit:
- Operated by mains or battery; if batteries are fitted, the power will automatically switch to them in the event of a power failure
- The halo or circle at the top of the baby unit acts as a nightlight; this gives the dual advantages of providing a comforting glow to your baby and also gives you sufficient light in your baby’s room to be able to check on them whenever you like without disturbing them.

Can the Angelcare Movement Monitors be used with any type of mattress?
The Angelcare Movement Monitors can be used with all types of mattresses, regardless of the size and thickness, and can also be used under a Moses basket mattress. However, they cannot be used with the following:
- Memory foam mattresses
- Mattresses with a hollow frame.
